Placements24 is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence for a remote role. You will identify, analyze, and report on threats that could impact the organization, with a global threat landscape perspective.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years in threat intelligence or cybersecurity analysis. You will monitor feeds, produce actionable intelligence for security operations, and collaborate to operationalize intelligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 2–4 years of cybersecurity analysis or threat intelligence experience.
• Knowledge of cyber threats, attack vectors, and TTPs.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and OSINT tools.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Python scripting and data analysis is a plus.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence to join their team, ideally based near Port Elizabeth , but the role is fully remote. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and reporting on cyber threats that could impact the organization. Your work will involve monitoring global threat landscapes, understanding adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and providing actionable intelligence to defensive security teams. This role is critical for enhancing the organization's ability to anticipate and defend against sophisticated cyber attacks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze threat intelligence feeds, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and dark web sources for relevant threat actor activity.
• Research and document threat actors, their TTPs, motivations, and targets relevant to the organization's industry and geography.
• Develop and disseminate timely threat intelligence reports and alerts to inform security operations and incident response teams.
• Contribute to the development of threat hunting hypotheses and hunt activities based on intelligence gathered.
• Collaborate with internal security teams to operationalize threat intelligence into security controls and detection mechanisms.
• Maintain and improve intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination processes and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, threat intelligence, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, malware analysis, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and various OSINT tools.
• Excellent analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., Python) and data analysis is a plus.
