Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst based in Upington, Northern Cape. You will collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence, identify threat actors and TTPs, and develop reports and alerts for security teams and executives.

Responsibilities include monitoring OSINT, coordinating with partners, and mentoring junior analysts. A strong background in cybersecurity research and clear communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of threat intelligence, cybersecurity analysis or related experience.
• Proven ability to collect, analyze and report threat intelligence.
• Knowledge of threat actor methodologies, TTPs and cyber kill chain.
• Familiarity with OSINT techniques and tools; experience with SIEM/EDR platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze threat intel from OSINT, commercial feeds, and internal data.
• Identify threat actors, campaigns and malware relevant to the org and industry.
• Develop threat intel reports, briefings and alerts for stakeholders.
• Inform security operations, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Develop threat models and intelligence requirements; monitor dark web sources.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to share intel.
• Present briefings to clients and internal teams; mentor junior analysts.
