Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking a Telecoms Systems Administrator to manage and secure critical IT infrastructure and client-facing platforms. You will install, configure, patch, and support servers and operating systems to ensure high availability.

You will work with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper‑V, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash) while maintaining security controls and disaster recovery plans. A remote-friendly setup is offered to support critical systems from afar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 3 years in systems administration, preferably in a telecoms environment.
• Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash).
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
