Placements24 seeks a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join an Installation & Maintenance team in Paarl, Western Cape. You will install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot telecom infrastructure, ensuring reliable client connectivity and service quality.

The ideal candidate has experience with LAN/WAN networks, network protocols and hardware, and is capable of diagnosing issues efficiently while providing excellent client support and training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar networking role.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, network protocols and hardware.
• Proficiency with network diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain telecommunications equipment (routers, switches, modems, cabling).
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware malfunctions, and performance problems.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on telecommunications infrastructure.
• Read and interpret network diagrams, blueprints and technical specifications.
• Ensure installations/repairs comply with standards and safety protocols.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
