Placements24 is seeking a Telecommunications Field Technician to join our client in Nelspruit. You will install, maintain, and repair telecom equipment at customer sites, while providing excellent on-site service and resolving issues promptly.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, experience with cabling and networking, and a commitment to quality. Valid driver’s license and flexibility, including weekends, are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, modems, and VoIP systems.
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of network connectivity and service issues at customer sites.
• Run and terminate network cabling (Ethernet, Coax) according to industry standards.
• Maintain and repair existing telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
• Respond to service calls and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Document all service calls, repairs, and installations accurately.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Telecommunications Field Technician to join their team in Nelspruit . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer premises and various field locations. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, practical experience with cabling, networking, and telecommunications systems, and a commitment to providing excellent service in the telecoms sector. You will be the face of our client on-site, ensuring seamless connectivity and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, modems, and VoIP systems.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of network connectivity and service issues at customer sites.

Requirements
