You will ensure network reliability and customer satisfaction by addressing field challenges with hands-on expertise.

The ideal candidate will have strong telecom knowledge, field equipment experience, and excellent communication skills to work with clients and internal teams in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Engineer in the telecoms sector.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including VoIP, cellular networks, and fiber optics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment relevant to telecom hardware.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Rustenburg region and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission telecommunications hardware and software at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity, voice systems, and data transmission.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on telecom equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Collaborate with the network operations center and support teams to elevate and resolve complex problems.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and equipment installations using company systems.
