You will collaborate with IT and vendor teams, document configurations, and stay current with evolving telecom technologies. A 5-year track record in telecom systems engineering and a degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in telecommunications systems engineering and support.
• Proficiency configuring and managing VoIP systems (Asterisk, Cisco CallManager, Avaya) and PBX platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, SIP, H.323 and data networking principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain telecommunications systems including PBX, VoIP, data networks and wireless infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement proactive measures for uptime and efficiency.
• Backups and disaster recovery planning to safeguard data and operations.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues related to telecommunications equipment and services.
• Collaborate with network administrators to ensure integration with IT infrastructure.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Manage vendor relationships for installations and maintenance.
• Stay updated on telecommunications technologies and industry trends.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and staff.
• Participate in evaluation and selection of new telecom hardware and software solutions.
