Placements24 is seeking a Telecom Infrastructure Rollout Supervisor to oversee field deployment projects in and around Gauteng. The role requires hands-on management of installation teams, ensuring milestones, quality, and safety on fiber optic, base stations, and related telecom assets.

You will supervise field teams, coordinate with stakeholders, read technical drawings, and maintain site documentation while mentoring junior staff and enforcing health and safety on site.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure installation or related field.
• Proven supervisory experience leading field teams.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic installation and wireless deployment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and on-site best practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and network diagrams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
• Technical certification in telecommunications is a plus.

About the Role

Our client, a major telecommunications provider, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Telecom Infrastructure Rollout Supervisor to oversee major network deployment projects in and around Tembisa, Gauteng. This is a field-based role requiring a hands‑on approach to manage installation teams, ensure project milestones are met, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for supervising the physical installation of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic networks, base stations, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications engineering, proven leadership capabilities, and a meticulous eye for detail. You must be adept at managing diverse teams, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and resolving on‑site challenges effectively. This role is crucial for expanding our network coverage and ensuring reliable service delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct field installation teams engaged in the deployment of telecommunications infrastructure.
• Ensure all installations are executed according to project plans, technical specifications, and company standards.

• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and practices in construction and telecom environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and network diagrams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
