Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Telecom Field Technician for on-site work in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will install, configure, and repair telecom equipment at customer sites, ensuring reliable service and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with telecommunications hardware, testing tools, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions. A driving license and safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or electronics preferred.
• Proven experience as Telecom Field Technician or similar hands-on technical role.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications principles and hardware.
• Proficiency in testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and OTDRs.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle physical demands in the field.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems, including mobile network equipment, fiber optics, and customer premises equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
