Job summary

Beaver Recruitment & Migration seeks a skilled Field Service Technician in Cape Town to install, maintain, and repair telecom equipment across sites. You will be the main client contact, diagnosing issues, and ensuring reliable system operation with a hands-on, autonomous approach.

The role requires a relevant electronics/telecommunications qualification, strong fault-finding skills, and excellent customer service. Travel across the Western Cape is expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification in electronics/telecommunications.
• Proven experience as Field Service Technician or similar in telecoms.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecom systems (fibre, base stations, fixed-line).
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Conduct site surveys and provide optimisation recommendations.
• Maintain records of service calls, repairs and inventory.
• Adhere to safety regulations on client premises.
