Job summary

Sportable Ltd in Cape Town is seeking an IT Operations Support professional to join our dynamic tech startup. You will provide 1st line IT support, troubleshoot systems, and manage incidents for hardware and software used across our sports data platforms.

Work closely with TechOps, Product, Hardware & Firmware, and Engineering teams. This role emphasizes proactive problem-solving, knowledge base maintenance, and remote support around live events and field operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in similar technical operations or IT support.
• Ability to act as first point of triage and escalation for incidents.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and basic debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1st line IT support and troubleshooting of all Sportable systems and products.
• Raising and assigning incidents when systems or product issues are identified.
• Maintaining the knowledge base with SME input across IT, Networking, Product, Engineering, Content Delivery and Field Operations.
• Providing pre/post-match remote support for field operations teams.
• Coordinating with SME teams to drive product and system improvements.
• Following policies and procedures for technical operations to maintain consistency of service.
• Monitoring and maintaining technical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Managing deployment and maintenance of technical equipment and software.
• Interfacing with other departments to ensure technical operations are aware of all deliverables.
• Engaging with technical teams to support root cause analysis for high-priority issues.
