Job summary

ManpowerGroup Western Cape in Cape Town is seeking a Skills Development Specialist to build and maintain relationships with customers, distributors and installers, and to drive new business opportunities in the Northern Suburbs. The role requires a matric, basic technical knowledge, and 1–2 years in technical sales or development, with a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

You will plan product presentations, training sessions and contribute to sales targets.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 completed.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers, distributors and installers.
• Conduct regular customer and distributor visits to ensure excellent service levels and identify further business opportunities.
• Conduct distributor audits and ensure products, displays, brochures and promotional material are accurately represented and kept up to date.
• Identify commercial sites and arrange meetings with relevant decision-makers.
• Present and promote technical access-control solutions to new and existing clients.
• Drive new business development and generate leads for new customers.
• Work towards achieving monthly branch sales targets.
• Develop and implement distributor and area sales strategies to support business growth.
• Provide structured customer visit and call reports to the Branch Manager.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver product presentations and customer training sessions.
• Remain up to date with new and existing products, industry developments and competitor activity.
• Provide market intelligence and feedback relating to competitors, pricing, new products and marketing opportunities.
• Address product-related queries and escalate/resolution where required.
• Assist with internal sales activities, including order processing and customer queries.
• Maintain accurate customer information on the company database.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D and Technical teams for effective customer service.
