Job summary

Bridgena Barnard Personnel Group is seeking a Technical Sales Manager in the Western Cape to lead B2B sales initiatives and drive technical solutions for clients in plastics, packaging and related engineering sectors.

The role requires 5-7 years in technical or business-to-business sales, plus 2-3 years in a senior sales capacity. Permanent on-site position in CPT - Southern Suburbs, Western Cape, ZA.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• 5-7 years' relevant experience in technical sales, B2B sales, business development or a technical commercial environment.
• At least 2-3 years' experience in a senior sales or sales management capacity.
• Experience in manufacturing, plastics, packaging, engineering or related industry advantageous.
• Experience in technical product specifications, BOM development, quotation costing, customer enquiry and sample processes, product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sell plastic packaging / manufacturing / engineering solutions to B2B customers.
• Lead technical discussions, quotations and costing with customers.
• Develop product specifications, BOMs and sample requests for proposals.
• Drive new business development and manage key accounts in the Western Cape.

Seniority Level: Mid Career (Above 6 yrs exp)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related technical field.
• 5-7 years' relevant experience in technical sales, B2B sales, business development or a technical commercial environment.
• At least 2-3 years' experience in a senior sales or sales management capacity.
• Experience in manufacturing, plastics, packaging, engineering or a related industry will be advantageous.
• Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
  • Technical product specifications and BOM development.
  • Quotation preparation and costing.
  • Customer enquiry and sample request processes.
  • Product and fitment knowledge.
