Job summary

BCX is seeking a Monitoring & Surveillance Systems Operator to provide 1st and 2nd line support for internal and external stakeholders, including networks, SAP and server support. You will monitor health, manage tickets, and escalate where necessary to maintain business continuity.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, IT certifications, and a strong understanding of EMS, SAP and related systems in a full-time office-based environment in South Africa.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in Monitoring & Surveillance Systems solutions, especially EMS and SAP BI, ERP and CRM.
• Proven ability to monitor networks, servers and batch processes.
• Certifications A+, N+, CCNA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Network and Server health and respond to incidents.
• Provide 1st/2nd line support via ticketing; escalate when needed.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders for timely resolutions.
• Adhere to SLA requirements and client governance.

Core Description

To provide 1st and 2nd level Monitoring & Surveillance Systems Operator support to various stakeholders internal & external to BCX including Networks, SAP and Server support

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Monitor Network and Server health.
• Conducting support to all store upon ticket generation via auto-log and customer contact centre. Timeous escalations of anomalies experienced on each shift.
• Respond to client enquiries and elevate problems that cannot be resolved.
• Resolve elevate and monitor actions to meet agreed time and quality targets to ensure business continuity to client.
• An understanding of SLA requirements
• Take cognisance of industry compliance requirements
• Be aware of changes implemented in the client’s environment and report thereof.
• Adhere to company and client’s policies, procedures, and governance
