Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive HR Generalist in Mahikeng, North West, to lead recruitment and onboarding within a hybrid work model. You will manage sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding programs, and HRIS/ATS records to ensure a smooth candidate experience.

The role requires 3–5 years in HR with strong recruitment and onboarding capabilities, SA labour law knowledge, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Qualification in HR Management, Business Admin, or related field.
• 3–5 years HR experience with focus on recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Proven full recruitment cycle and onboarding program experience.
• Familiar with South African labour laws pertaining to recruitment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and interviewing skills.
• Experience with ATS and HRIS systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a Hybrid environment.
• Proactive, results-oriented approach to talent acquisition and onboarding.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment process: job ads, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop strategies.
• Utilize sourcing channels to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
• Conduct comprehensive onboarding for new employees.
• Develop and implement onboarding programs with orientation and training.
• Maintain candidate pipelines and HRIS/ATS records.
• Conduct reference checks and background screening for new hires.
• Assist with broader HR duties, including employee relations, admin, and compliance.
• Track recruitment metrics and report KPIs such as time-to-hire and cost-per-hire.
• Contribute to employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
