Job summary

Groupe CFAO in Cape Town seeks a Systems Agent to support the Technology Department with daily system configurations, rate management and user assistance. The role focuses on Wheels and Cars+ administration, and the maintenance of Hertz global platforms while collaborating with revenue and IT teams.

Ideal candidates have 3 years in a car rental or system admin role, strong Excel skills, and experience with Amadeus/Sabre GDS. This is a full-time on-site position in Africa, South Africa.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a car rental role or similar system administration role.
• Proficiency in car rental systems (Cars+, Wheels) and GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre).
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Ability to analyze pricing matrices, yield data and inventory reports.

Responsibilities

• Rate Management: administer new rates, renewals and modifications.
• System Administration: configure Wheels system and base setups (stations, rates, contracts, surcharges, options).
• Global Systems Support: maintain Hertz platforms (GDD, RAM, RMS).
• Market & Competitor Analysis: monitor pricing and fleet availability for revenue decisions.
• Troubleshooting: investigate system issues and liaise with vendors as needed.
• User Support: assist staff with system-related problems and fixes.
• Innovation: propose new system solutions to improve customer experience and staff efficiency.

Key focus of the role is to assist with the administration of all system related setups and configurations, as well as offering support on a daily basis at our Hertz Rent A Car - Technology Department in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

• Rate Management: Administration and issuing of new rates, rate renewals, and rate modifications.
• System Administration: Administration and configuration of the Wheels Car Rental System. This includes all base setups, such as stations, rates, contracts, surcharges and additional options.
• Global Systems Support: Administration and maintenance of all Hertz global platforms (GDD, RAM, RMS etc.)
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and fleet availability to assist the revenue team in decision making.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and troubleshoot reported system issues and reporting the issues to 3rd party vendors where need be (Wheelsys for example).
• User Support: Offer support to internal staff and assist in finding solutions and resolves to system related issues.
• Innovation: Implementing and suggesting new and innovative system solutions to enhance the customer experience as well as the staff efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3 years of experience in a car rental role or a comparable system administration role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in car rental systems (Cars+, Wheels) and GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Analytical Ability: Comfort analysing pricing matrixes, yield data, and inventory utilization reports.
• Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
