Job summary

Prime System Solutions is seeking a System and Network Engineer to oversee IT infrastructure across multiple client environments in Johannesburg. The role covers on-premises and cloud systems, with emphasis on Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and firewall/VPN management.

You will work in a fast-paced, multi-client setting, using ConnectWise, Kaseya, and ServiceNow for tickets and remote troubleshooting, while ensuring security, backup, and business continuity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a System and Network Administrator in multi-client environments.
• 2+ years in a helpdesk or technical support role with ticketing systems.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure cloud platforms, including advanced user and group management.
• In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies and VPN solutions (e.g., Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet).

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain client network infrastructures (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).
• Manage and maintain on-premises and cloud server environments using Windows Server (2008-2022) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Support and administer Microsoft 365, AD, and Azure environments, including user management and policies.
• Implement and maintain firewalls and VPNs to ensure secure remote access and data protection.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support; troubleshoot across diverse client environments.
• Utilize ticketing and remote management tools to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
