Placements24 seeks an experienced Lead Architect to spearhead design initiatives in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The role involves leading design teams, developing conceptual frameworks, and ensuring architectural integrity and sustainability for large residential projects.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years of residential design experience, SACAP registration, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration with SACAP is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of extensive architectural experience, with emphasis on residential design and large-scale housing developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for major sustainable housing developments, from concept to construction documentation.
• Develop design strategies prioritizing environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
• Manage and mentor architectural teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance design culture.
• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards in Stellenbosch and Western Cape.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, landscape architects, and sustainability consultants to integrate holistic design solutions.
• Oversee preparation of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and material palettes.
• Conduct design reviews and quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Stay at the forefront of sustainable building technologies and innovative housing typologies.
