Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng seeks a Stock Controller to coordinate surgical stock control across the hospital. You will facilitate cross-department collaboration to maximize stock accuracy and prevent mismanagement.

The role requires 1–2 years of hospital experience, a Matric certificate or equivalent, and a Basic Pharmacist Assistant certificate, with strong computer literacy and attention to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate or equivalent.
• Basic Pharmacist Assistant certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• 1-2 years’ hospital experience.
• Administrative support in a hospital environment (added advantage).

Responsabilités

• Oversee picking and packing of stock on internal orders and ensure ethical stock is double checked and signed off by a Pharmacist or a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant before delivery.
• Conduct daily spot checks on stock issue to verify items, quantities and barcodes used for transfers.
• Review stock items not supplied on internal orders and ensure stock is ordered in advance.
• Maintain a clean, tidy stock room and store according to manufacturer and legal requirements.
• Manage efficiencies in the stock room to prevent obstacles or unproductivity of staff.
• Liaise with Ward Clerks to ensure ward stock management follows the Group’s SOPs.
• Oversee bulk stock issuance to wards/units on prescribed days.
• Ensure stock for delivery is clearly marked, sealed and accompanied by correct paperwork.
• Oversee inter-hospital transfers and stock issuing between hospitals.
• Check quality of packaging for breakages or damage affecting product quality.
• Maintain a professional and clean pharmacy state at all times.
• Ensure activities comply with Pharmacy Act, Medicines Act and Good Pharmacy Practice guidelines.
• Maintain necessary stock levels in all Units and Pharmacy.
• Identify slow-moving stock and arrange returns or transfers.
• Oversee accurate bar-coding and packing of stock onto shelves.
• Regularly check SAP data to ensure correct loading by size, description and base unit; address deviations with staff.
