Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to join open-pit operations near Vereeniging. You will map the mine site, monitor excavation progress, and support planning with precise spatial data using total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.

The role requires a National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying/Geomatics and at least 5 years of open-pit mining surveying experience, with strong attention to detail and teamwork in field environments.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Conduct topographical surveys of pit boundaries, stockpiles, and infrastructure.
• Stake out mining areas, roads, and drill hole locations per plans.
• Monitor excavation progress and report volumes and design compliance.
• Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
• Process survey data using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and mine planning software.
• Calibrate and maintain survey equipment.
• Collaborate with mine engineers and geologists to supply survey data.
