Job summary

EdUpStairs seeks a detail-focused Logistics/Asset Clerk to supervise asset management clerical services and maintain records. The role includes verifying equipment issuance, maintaining the asset and supplier registers, and handling quotations and purchasing data entry.

You will support bid processes, logistics duties, and ensure timely order placement, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance within the public service framework.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain duties and ability to capture data.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of supply chain systems.
• Good verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and language skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and render asset management clerical services.
• Oversee records compilation and maintenance.
• Verify issuing of equipment to components/individuals in need.
• Identify obsolete equipment for disposal.
• Oversee asset register verification.
• Supervise demand and acquisition clerical services.
• Update supplier/database records and ensure supplier registration.
• Request and receive quotations; capture specifications in purchasing system.
• Ensure orders are placed on time and manage bid documents.
• Provide secretariat/logistical support during bid processes.
• Supervise logistical support and check/verify orders and goods.
