Job summary

EdUpStairs in Pietermaritzburg seeks a senior asset management officer with at least 3 years of experience and a Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification. The role requires strong knowledge of SCM, PFMA, governance regs and accurate financial reconciliations.

The successful candidate will handle asset administration, stock takes support, LOCO journal entries and HR controls, with solid numeracy and report-writing skills, and good communication across staff and departments.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate/Grade 12/NQF Level 4 with 3 years asset management experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury regulations and SCM prescripts.
• Numeracy and report-writing skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
• Intermediate computer literacy (MS Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Undertake financial reconciliations of the asset register with the general ledger and financial statements.
• Provide support during traditional institutions stock takes.
• Facilitate loss control procedures and post correct LOCO journal entries.
• Exercise control of human resources.
