Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and a supervision certificate (NQF level 4) are required.
• Minimum 5 years of operational production process experience.
• Minimum 3 years in team/project leadership or supervision.
• Minimum 2 years of operational crushing experience.
• Strong SHERQ knowledge and safety compliance focus.

Our client, a reputable mining company based in the Northern Cape, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Supervisor Production Process to join their dynamic team. The Supervisor Production Process will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring smooth operation within the Wash and Screen, ROM Reclaim Crushing, Plant Jig HPGR, Water Cyclone, and WHIMS processes. The role demands a strong focus on the efficient utilization of resources, ensuring the reliability and availability of equipment, and driving continuous improvement to meet production goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations of the production processes, ensuring plant efficiency, reliability, and that production targets are met.
• SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality): Maintain compliance with all SHERQ standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment while upholding high-quality production standards.
• Contractor Management: Supervise and manage contractor performance, ensuring their activities are in line with company policies and safety standards.
• Budget and Cost Control: Monitor and control the operational budget, ensuring effective cost management and resource utilization.
• Functional Knowledge: Apply detailed knowledge of process theory, operating manuals, and equipment modules for crushing, screening, conveying, stacking, sampling, and dust suppression/extraction processes, as well as processes within the Wash and Screen, ROM yard, and jig operations.
• Management: Ensure adherence to FLMP, HR, and IR policies, and foster strong teamwork through effective performance management and collaboration.
• Systems Management: Utilize systems such as risk assessments, permits to work, JDE, MES, and SCADA for process optimization, safety, and efficiency.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, relevant COPs and SOPs, labour agreements, and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
• SHERQ Knowledge: Maintain working knowledge of SHERQ and related policies, procedures, and standards, including risk assessments and first aid practices.
• Leadership & Decision-Making: Lead by example, demonstrating proactive decision-making, initiating actions to improve team performance, and fostering a culture of innovation and improvement.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• Frist Line Supervision Certificate / Qualification (NQF level 4 -150 credits).
• Minimum of 5 (five) years operational production process experience.
• Minimum of 3 (three) year's team / project leader/ supervisor experience.
• Minimum of 2 (two) years operational crushing experience.
