Job summary

Stefanutti Stocks is seeking a Sub-Station Erector to join its electrical infrastructure teams in South Africa. You will assemble, install and commission substations, working closely with project managers and engineers to ensure safety, quality and timely completion on site.

The role requires proven HV experience, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to environmental and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in erection and installation of substations.
• Experience with high voltage equipment and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install substation components such as transformers and switchgear.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to follow installation plans.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed on site during erection.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify defects in electrical systems.
• Assist in testing and commissioning for optimal performance.
• Maintain records of installation activities and modifications.
• Provide on-site training and support for junior staff.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety guidelines.
