Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Subsea Engineer to join our client’s project execution team in Queenstown. The role focuses on design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of subsea production systems.

You will manage technical aspects of subsea projects to deliver safely, on time, and within budget, leveraging expertise in subsea hardware, flow assurance, and installation methodologies. Hybrid work arrangement offered; strong collaboration with contractors, vendors and clients is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of subsea engineering experience in offshore Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of subsea trees, manifolds, and control systems.
• Experience with flow assurance analysis and pipelines is beneficial.
• Familiarity with marine operations and installation challenges.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of subsea projects, including design review, equipment selection, and fabrication oversight.
• Develop subsea installation procedures and support marine operations.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure technical requirements are met.
• Perform technical analysis related to subsea equipment, pipelines, and structures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for subsea facilities.
