Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Designer or Draughtsperson.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Structure.
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles for steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Familiarity with SANS codes related to structural design.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, and details for steel and concrete structures using CAD software.
• Assist Structural Engineers in performing structural calculations and analysis.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Prepare BOQs and material take-offs for structural elements.
• Ensure drawings comply with SANS codes and building standards.
• Participate in site visits to verify conditions and support construction activities.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to design queries during construction.
• Maintain project documentation and drawing registers.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction professionals.
• Contribute to value engineering to optimize designs.
