Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent with extensive experience in structural engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as Pr. Eng is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of building structures experience.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of various building types, ensuring compliance with SANS codes, building regulations, and client requirements.
• Perform complex structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and timber structures using advanced software tools.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for projects across Gauteng.
• Manage structural engineering project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, coordinating effectively with architectural teams and other consultants.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to verify adherence to design drawings and specifications, and resolve any structural queries.
• Review structural designs prepared by junior engineers, providing guidance and quality assurance.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and authorities to present design proposals and address project-specific challenges.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, materials, and technologies in structural engineering.
