Job summary

Placements24 seeks a meticulous Telecoms Infrastructure Planner to join the strategy and development team in Paarl, Western Cape. You will design future network deployments, conduct feasibility studies, and develop comprehensive rollout plans for new infrastructure projects, coordinating with engineering, construction, and regulatory teams to ensure scalability.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in network design, and proficiency with GIS and CAD tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, GIS, Urban Planning, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated experience in infrastructure planning, project management, or network design in telecoms.

Responsibilities

Develop strategic plans for deploying telecoms infrastructure including fiber optic and wireless networks.
Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and capacity planning to optimize deployment strategies.
Analyze geographic data and zoning regulations to identify optimal routes and locations.
Create detailed network designs, schematics, and blueprints for construction teams.
Engage with authorities and property owners to secure permits and rights-of-way.
Estimate costs, timelines, and resources for infrastructure projects.
Monitor progress and identify risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
