Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a strategic Telecoms Infrastructure Planner to join our expansion team. You will forecast network needs, plan capacity upgrades, and develop long-term infrastructure strategies for the Free State region.

You will analyze traffic, assess current infrastructure, and design scalable solutions to meet future demand. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or telecommunications, 5+ years of planning experience, and strong knowledge of 5G,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure planning, network design, or capacity management.
• Strong understanding of wireless and fixed-line network technologies, including 5G, fibre optics, and IP networks.
• Proficiency in network planning tools and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable plans.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct capacity planning and growth analysis to anticipate future requirements.
• Develop long-term infrastructure deployment plans and roadmaps.
• Identify optimal locations for new network infrastructure, including cell sites and data centres.
• Evaluate and select appropriate network technologies and equipment to meet performance and scalability goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align infrastructure plans with budget and timelines.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate infrastructure plans to stakeholders.
