Placements24 seeks a strategic Subsurface Integration Manager in Sandton, Gauteng to lead multidisciplinary subsurface teams and integrate geological, geophysical, reservoir, and engineering data into holistic models and development plans.

The role requires a strong technical background across subsurface disciplines, exceptional leadership, and effective communication to drive technical strategy and asset value. Hybrid working arrangements are offered in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or related geoscience.
• 10+ years of progressive oil and gas experience with subsurface focus.
• Proven experience leading diverse subsurface teams.
• Strong understanding of geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering principles.
• Experience with subsurface modeling software and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and integrate geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering disciplines.
• Develop and implement integrated subsurface workflows and methodologies.
• Oversee creation of comprehensive subsurface models (static and dynamic).
• Ensure robust uncertainty analysis and risk assessment for resource estimates.
• Collaborate with asset teams to develop field development plans and production strategies.
• Drive technical aspects of exploration and appraisal campaigns.
• Manage subsurface data quality and accessibility.
• Mentor and develop subsurface professionals.
• Present interpretations and strategies to senior management.
