You will develop field development plans, conduct reservoir characterization, and support production optimization while mentoring junior team members in a collaborative, hybrid work environment in Upington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or related Earth Science; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in subsurface engineering or reservoir engineering in Oil & Gas.
• Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation, well test analysis, and production data analysis.
• Expertise in geological and petrophysical data interpretation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a hybrid or collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to create detailed subsurface models.
• Conduct reservoir performance analysis, identify drainage opportunities, and recommend enhanced recovery methods.
• Develop and update field development plans, production forecasts, and economic evaluations.
• Collaborate with drilling and production teams to ensure effective well planning and execution.
• Utilize advanced software for reservoir simulation, geostatistics, and data analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on subsurface challenges.
