Job summary

Flight Centre Careers is seeking a high-performing Sales Development Representative in Johannesburg to accelerate new business by qualifying first appointments for the Business Development team. You will prospect, identify customer needs, and build a strong pipeline through multi-channel outreach.

The role requires 3+ years in B2B sales, outbound calling, and proven appointment-setting ability, with CRM experience and own transport.

Qualifications

• Matric required.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or related field advantageous.
• 3+ years' experience in B2B sales.
• 2+ years' outbound sales calling experience advantageous.
• Proven track record of securing appointments with decision-makers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across multiple prospecting channels.
• Experience managing large volumes of leads and accounts.
• CRM experience required.
• Own transport essential.

Responsibilities

• Generate, research, and qualify cold leads using available prospecting tools and CRM systems.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline to support sales conversion.
• Conduct multi-channel prospecting through cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement.
• Secure qualified first appointments for Business Development Managers.
• Manage referrals and marketing-generated web leads.
• Develop relationships with prospects and identify customer pain points and requirements.
• Collaborate with the National Sales Leader and Sales & Technical Leaders on segmentation and lead generation projects.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and comply with internal sales processes.
• Participate in sales meetings, performance reviews, training sessions, networking events, and industry conferences.
• Provide pipeline updates and insights to leadership teams.
• Follow all One Best Way processes, sales KPIs, and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.
