Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Dispatch Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation operations from a remote location. You will coordinate drivers, schedule deliveries, and ensure a seamless flow of goods to meet customer demands.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with experience using TMS and mapping software, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, or related field.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and mapping software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of transportation logistics and fleet operations.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule delivery routes and driver assignments using logistics software.
• Monitor the real-time location and progress of drivers and vehicles.
• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing support and addressing issues proactively.
• Optimize delivery schedules to ensure efficiency, minimize transit times, and meet delivery windows.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding dispatch status and potential delays.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatches, driver performance, and operational metrics.
