Job summary

Cape Union Mart is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst – Point of Sale to analyse, design, document, and continuously improve our POS platforms. The role works closely with IT, business teams, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure clear requirements, defined solutions, and tested, production-ready changes.

You will engage across store trading, promotions, loyalty, and end-of-day processing, while supporting integration testing and operational readiness in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years’ experience in systems analysis or related roles.
• Experience with POS, omnichannel retail processes, and integrations.
• Familiarity with API integrations, middleware, and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, processes, and integration impacts across POS and omnichannel sales.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support solution design for store trading, promotions, loyalty, and end-of-day processing.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, regression, and production validation in an Agile environment.
• Monitor, document, and hand over knowledge for operational readiness and incidents.
