Job summary

ShopriteX is seeking a Lead Functional Analyst to drive the analysis, design, and configuration of our e-commerce ecosystem in a retail context. You will collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and engineers to deliver scalable online solutions.

You will lead complex analyses, mentor junior analysts, and ensure alignment with business needs, testing, and go-live activities. This is a senior role within a dynamic digital retail team in South Africa.

Qualifications

3-year IT qualification required.
SAP Commerce or equivalent experience essential.
Business Analyst / Functional Analyst course or similar essential.
MS SQL fundamentals or related certifications desirable.
5+ years in a Senior Functional Analyst or similar role essential.
Experience in functional analysis, configuration, and user testing essential.
Experience in software testing essential.
IT Support and Operations knowledge essential.
Working knowledge of OS and Internet technologies essential.
Retail or Financial Services experience essential.
Vendor management essential.
Project Management principles knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

Perform functional and technical analysis of complex requirements.
Translate requirements into functional designs and specs for development.
Define testing, training, and implementation procedures for delivered solutions.
Lead and coordinate development and configuration initiatives.
Prioritise and plan projects with team leads.
Mentor Analysts I and II; provide guidance.
Ensure delivery of allocated work within sprints.
Lead gap analyses and assess change impacts.
Identify risks and dependencies; report status.
