Job summary

TP in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead our learning and development function. This senior role focuses on aligning training strategy to business and client objectives while developing capable teams and delivering measurable impact.

You will design, implement and evaluate learning solutions across the employee lifecycle, partnering with Operations to close performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years’ experience within Training / Learning & Development.
• 2–4 years’ management or leadership experience, preferably within a contact centre, BPO, outsourcing or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience designing, implementing and managing successful training programmes.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design and competency-based development.
• Experience using performance data to identify capability gaps and measure training effectiveness.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner confidently with senior Operations and business leaders.
• Experience leading and developing training teams.
• Strong project management, organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• A strategic, creative and commercially aware mindset.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to process excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic training and learning agenda aligned to business and client objectives.
• Lead, coach and develop the training team to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Identify organisational and individual training needs through stakeholder engagement and performance data.
• Design and implement training solutions across the employee lifecycle.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and business impact using data and feedback.
• Partner with Operations to translate performance gaps into targeted learning interventions.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure efficient training processes.
• Oversee training resources, systems and external providers where required.
• Ensure training programmes support capability, productivity and quality.
• Embed company values and brand philosophy in learning initiatives.
• Stay current with L&D trends, instructional design and best practice.
