Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Lead Project Manager in Cape Town to drive enterprise IT deployments from scoping and requirements gathering through to implementation, testing and ongoing support.

You will lead diverse teams, manage budgets and timelines, facilitate clear communication with executives and stakeholders, and coordinate with vendors to deliver scalable ERP/CRM solutions that align with strategic business and technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in project management with 4+ years in lead role.
• Experience with ERP/CRM implementations.
• Knowledge of PMBOK/Agile/Prince2 frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing budgets and resources for large projects.
• Familiarity with SDLC.
• Cape Town/Western Cape market familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and successful completion of large-scale enterprise IT projects.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including budget and risk management.
• Mentor project teams and foster accountability and high performance.
• Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders, team members and leadership.
• Oversee procurement and management of external vendor services.
• Implement robust QA and testing procedures for project success.
• Monitor progress, identify roadblocks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
• Conduct project reviews and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
