Job summary

Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, seeks a proactive HR Business Partner to support its operational divisions. You will translate business goals into HR strategies, drive employee engagement, performance management, and talent development within the Gauteng region.

You will partner with operational leaders to deliver HR excellence, ensure compliance with SA labor law, and steward the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced manufacturing/logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner role supporting operations.
• Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
• Solid understanding of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR support and guidance to assigned operational business units.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to identify HR needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
• Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
• Develop and implement talent management and succession planning initiatives for operational teams.
• Drive employee engagement strategies and initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies.
• Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and support business decision-making.
• Partner with the L&D team to identify training needs and development opportunities for operational staff.
• Support organizational change initiatives within the operational areas.
