Job summary

ZEISS Group in Randburg, Johannesburg is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to align people strategy with business priorities. You will act as a strategic partner to heads of departments, lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning, and drive performance management and development initiatives.

You will promote engagement, inclusion and accountability while ensuring labour law compliance, succession planning and change readiness across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/related field.
• At least 5 years HR experience including 3+ years as HRBP.
• Strong HR business partnering skills.
• Solid knowledge of SA labour legislation (EE, B-BBEE, POPIA).
• Experience in end-to-end recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic HR partner to Heads of Department.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, including workforce planning and pipelines.
• Drive performance management, including the annual PDR cycle and calibration.
• Lead talent reviews and succession planning.
• Plan development initiatives including leadership development and coaching.
• Promote engagement, inclusion and accountability through surveys and interventions.
• Support organisational development and change initiatives and governance.
• Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and absenteeism matters.
• Lead or support HR projects aligned with people strategy.
