Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; honours advantageous.
• 5–8 years' experience in a similar professional setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
• Understanding of organisational hierarchy, roles, and compensation practices.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Align the objectives of the organisation with employees and management in specific business units.
• Establish partnerships across HR to provide services to management and staff in line with business goals.
• Maintain understanding of the business unit's finances, culture, and competitive landscape to support decision-making.
• Demonstrate proactive interaction with management and staff to resolve HR issues.
• Provide HR support and guidance to management and staff to boost engagement and performance.
• Offer expertise and assistance to Line Managers in HR matters.
• Support initiatives related to BEE, Employment Equity and Skills Development.
• Participate in staff inductions to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Conduct entrance and exit interviews to gather feedback.
• Handle general HR administration tasks and assist with HR matters as needed.
• Conduct HR surveys and audits to assess and improve HR practices.
• Efficiently manage HR queries to provide timely resolutions.
