Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging, Gauteng, is seeking a strategic and proactive HR Business Partner to support operations in a hybrid role balancing in-office and remote work. You will advise and coach line managers on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organisational change.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of HR principles and South African labour law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a strategic HR role (HR Business Partner or similar).
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR practices.
• Experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
• Excellent consulting, coaching and influencing skills.
• Strong business acumen and ability to understand business operations.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
• Proficient in HRIS and MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid environment.
• Proven ability to drive HR initiatives and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to align HR initiatives with strategic objectives.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and development.
• Facilitate organisational change with smooth adoption.
• Collaborate on workforce planning and succession planning.
• Advise on HR policies and SA labour law interpretations.
• Develop and deliver training for managers and staff.
• Analyze HR data to inform decisions.
• Foster positive employee relations and culture.
