Placements24 in Sandton is seeking a Senior HR Specialist to drive employee relations, policy development, and talent management within a strategic HR function. The role blends in-office leadership with a hybrid working model, offering scope to influence across the organisation.

You will advise line managers, lead investigations, design and implement HR policies, support workforce planning, and ensure compliance with SA labour law.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in HRM or related field.
• 5–7 years in a comprehensive HR role with specialist focus.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Experience in employee relations, performance mgmt, and talent development.
• Proven communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR guidance and support to management and employees on complex HR issues.
• Lead and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and grievances.
• Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and company strategy.
• Contribute to talent management initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, and career development frameworks.
• Support the execution of HR projects and programs across the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and regulations, staying updated on legislative changes.
• Collaborate with the HR team on recruitment strategies and workforce planning.
• Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee and leadership capabilities.
• Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the workplace.
