Placements24 seeks an experienced HR Business Partner to support mining operations near Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The role focuses on talent management, employee engagement, industrial relations, and HR compliance within a demanding mining environment.

You will partner with mine leadership to drive HR strategies, manage the full employee lifecycle, and oversee performance, succession, and engagement initiatives while promoting a strong safety culture. Willingness to travel to site as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM or Industrial Psychology.
• 8+ years HR experience, 4+ years as HRBP.
• Extensive industrial relations experience with unions.
• Strong knowledge of SA labor law incl. MHS Act.
• Willingness to work on site and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with mine leadership to implement HR strategies aligned with operational goals.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development and offboarding.
• Lead and manage industrial relations, including union negotiations and dispute resolution; ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Oversee talent management, performance management, and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and mining regulations; promote safety culture.
• Provide coaching to line managers on HR matters; manage HR budgets and resource allocation.
• Analyze HR data to provide insights to senior management.
