Placements24 is seeking a strategic Distribution Manager to oversee the FMCG distribution network in Upington and surrounding areas. You will lead warehouse operations, transportation, and distribution teams to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries to customers and retailers.

The role requires proven senior logistics leadership, strong WMS and budget management skills, and the ability to implement data-driven strategies that reduce costs and improve service levels.

Qualifications

• Senior logistics leadership experience in FMCG.
• Strong WMS and transportation logistics knowledge.
• Proven budget management and cost-control abilities.
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement distribution strategies for timely, cost-efficient delivery.
• Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, order fulfillment, space utilization.
• Oversee transportation logistics, route planning, carrier management, fleet usage.
• Lead, train, and motivate distribution staff; ensure health and safety compliance.
