Placements24 is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehousing operations in Upington, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost control. You will oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping while driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

You will manage staff, optimize inventory, enforce health and safety standards, and implement WMS solutions to improve accuracy and throughput. This is a senior, influential role with strong leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Warehouse Manager or senior warehouse leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Experience with WMS and other warehouse technology.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse management strategies and procedures.
• Manage and motivate warehouse staff, providing training and performance feedback.
• Ensure optimal inventory management, including accurate tracking and cycle counts.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and organized working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Control warehouse operating costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Liaise with transportation providers and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
• Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) effectively.
