Job summary

Switch Recruit (Pty) Ltd represents a global leader in freight and logistics seeking a driven Field Sales Executive (Business Development) to expand revenue, grow the customer base and drive strategic development across Southern Africa.

You will secure new business, manage relationships, deliver field sales plans, lead generation, and present solutions while targeting margins. Must have 5–8 years in clearing and forwarding sales, diploma/degree in relevant field, and own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Marketing or a relevant field advantageous.
• 5–8 years experience in clearing and forwarding sales is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Support internal teams to grow the freight and forwarding customer base across Southern Africa.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Identify customer needs and align them with relevant products and solutions.
• Execute field sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and target margins.
• Engage potential customers, conduct needs assessments and match them with relevant solutions.
• Deliver impactful sales presentations, proposals, and product information.
• Monitor competitors and market trends for strategic insights.
• Complete a minimum of 8 customer engagements per week and log all activity within the CRM.
