Boardroom Appointments in Germiston, South Africa, is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager (Data Centre) to own and grow strategic accounts in the data centre sector. You will lead account plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and influence decisions with senior stakeholders while traveling up to 50% of the time.

The role requires a matric plus a science/engineering degree, data centre experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) required.
• Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Science or Engineering or equivalent Data Centre industry experience.
• Related Data Centre industry experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and coordinate others with entrepreneurial spirit and strong customer affinity.
• Knowledge of Data Centre design and operations preferred; technical/engineering presence advantageous.
• Able to relate to Leaders of target customers; strong influence and leadership abilities.
• Knowledgeable on identifying and implementing new tools and processes.
• Diversity oriented; fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Establish, own and execute an account plan across Sales, Orders, Pipeline and Margin.
• Identify and build relationships with account decision-makers and influencers.
• Understand client buying process and secure revenue opportunities.
• Coordinate commercial and engineering responses to tenders.
• Finalize commercial processes and secure purchase orders and framework agreements.
• Ensure smooth handover to project management and post-order support.
• Maintain oversight of commercial engagements and client satisfaction.
• Be the advocate for your accounts within the company and report on targets and performance.
• Collaborate with sales and stakeholders at function, country, region and global levels.
• Provide account-specific guidance to internal teams and support ABM campaigns.
