Job summary

IQVIA in Remote South Africa seeks a Data Acquisition Specialist to define, set up and ingest External Data Streams for clinical trials. You will coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish data transfer requirements, mapping and governance, ensuring compliant data handling and timely study start-up activities.

The role requires experience with SDTM, GCP/ICH guidelines, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (ECG, imaging, labs, biomarkers).
• Experience in a clinical study setting and working with data transfer agreements.

Responsibilities

• Define, set up and ingest External Data Streams per protocol.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer, ingestion and structure.
• Develop trial-specific data transfer agreements documenting requirements.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study needs (monitoring/reporting).
• UAT of test data transfers and data specifications.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into the system and provide access for providers.
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams and resolve transfer issues.
