Job summary

Global Recruitment SA is seeking an experienced Business Developer – SETA to expand the client base across South Africa. You will generate opportunities in corporate training and skills development, while building strategic partnerships with employers and HR leaders.

The role requires 3+ years in business development or corporate sales, with a proven track record of meeting targets, excellent communication, and networking skills. A driver’s license and reliable transport are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development or Corporate Sales.
• Experience within the Skills Development, Training, Learnership, Higher Education, or SETA environment.
• Proven track record of achieving business development and sales targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially focused.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities within the corporate training and skills development sector.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, employers, and key stakeholders.
• Promote SETA-funded programmes, learnerships, short courses, and higher education offerings.
• Identify and secure new corporate partnerships.
• Engage with Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs), HR departments, and decision-makers.
• Conduct presentations, consultations, and information sessions.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
• Meet and exceed monthly business development and revenue targets.
• Attend networking events, industry conferences, and exhibitions.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reports.
• Stay informed on SETA funding opportunities and industry developments.
