Job summary

ATNS SOC Limited is seeking an experienced leader to provide overall business unit and operational leadership for Air Traffic Services at King Shaka International Airport, Durban. The role aligns regional strategy to ICAO standards, ensuring safe, orderly, and efficient ATS delivery across the region.

Key responsibilities include shaping the unit's strategy, budget management, governance, and stakeholder engagement with customers.

Qualifications

• Air traffic control qualification (Aerodrome, Approach and Area control).
• Formal leadership or business management qualification.
• Post graduate qualification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to the Air Traffic Service Unit to ensure achievement of Air Traffic Management Service Delivery.
• Lead design, implementation and management of the Air Traffic Service Unit business plan and governance.
• Drive delivery of projects within the ATNS strategy and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop annual business plans and align ATS outputs to customer needs and ICAO standards.
• Monitor safety, service levels and conduct investigations into incidents when required.

Education

Air traffic control qualification (Aerodrome, Approach and Area control)

Formal leadership (Management Development Program) and/or Business management qualification
